Attach a single bill image
You can attach a scanned image of your utility bill to its corresponding EnergyCAP bill record. This can be done when you create or edit a bill. This is a separate process from using the Image Uploader feature.
Bill image information
- You can upload the image when you create the bill or when you edit the bill.
- Only supported file types can be uploaded (this is based on your database settings).
- or summary bills, the image applies only to the specific meter.
- The image upload is not saved until you save the bill.
- The control code in the bill header is used to link the image to the bill. If you edit the control code the link to the image is broken.
Steps to upload a single bill image
- While manually entering a new bill.
- Click Upload Bill Image
- Select the file and click Upload.
- The control code in the bill header automatically updates to reference the the bill image.
- After entering all the bill line item information, click Save.
Steps to replace a single bill image
- When you want to replace the bill image, you first must edit the bill.
- Click the Replace Bill Image button.
- Select the file and click Upload.
- The control code in the bill header automatically updates to reference this new bill image.
- Click Save. The control code for the image is maintained by the system.

Used when EnergyCAP hosts the bill image. - Open in New Tab
Can be used by both EnergyCAP hosted bill images and customer hosted bill images
