Bill image enhancements

You can now upload and view bill images directly within EnergyCAP.

  • Upload bill images
When creating or editing a bill, you can now upload a bill image.
  • Side-by-side viewing
The uploaded image appears next to the bill details, making it easier to compare and verify information.
  • Available during all stages
You can upload an image while entering or editing a bill, and view it anytime afterward.

View and replace bill image buttons

  • View Bill Image: Opens the scanned bill image beside the EnergyCAP bill.
  • Replace Bill Image: Lets you upload a new image if the current one needs updated.

This side-by-side view makes it easy to compare the original bill with the line items in EnergyCAP.

Vendor and account enhancements

We've added new fields to vendor and account records to help you track key details, streamline Bill CAPture processes, and improve reporting accuracy.

Vendor updates

  • New Field: Letter of Authorization
A new field has been added to store a letter of authorization—this document confirms EnergyCAP's permission to work with a vendor on your behalf (for example, to pay utility bills directly). This field is especially important for Bill CAPture customers.

Account updates

New Fields

  • Landlord account
Helps you track accounts associated with landlords, often used in tenant billing scenarios.
  • Bill CAPture method
Select the method used to collect billing data for each account in the Bill CAPture service.

New read-only calculated fields

These are now displayed on the account properties tab and are based on historical billing data:

  • Billing frequency
  • Anticipated bill creation date
  • Anticipated statement date

These fields will support new reporting to help forecast upcoming bill activity.

New API

We've added a new API for moving bills between batches.
